Pina Chama

The “Pina Chama” was founded after the murder of Dr. Shmuel Gilis (from Carmay Tzur) and Tzachi Sason (from Rosh Tzurim) who were murdered by terrorists when they came back home from their jobs.

It serves between 100-150 soldiers and there are about 20 volunteers every day! It is a unique place, situated in the center of Gush Etzion. It is meant to remind the soldiers serving in the area that they are appreciated and loved both at home and during their difficult service in the Gush Etzion area.

Volunteers, who bake cakes, donate money, and offer hot and cold drinks, lend a listening ear to the soldiers who are away from home in the “Pina Chama”.

Article about the “ Pina Chama”

We spoke with Nava Aizik (she’s one of the volunteers in the ” Pina Chama”) who gave us an inside look.  She told us that everything in the ” Pina   Chama” is based on volunteering only.   A donor was found in a very special way.  “One time a man entered the “Pina Cama” directly after the fast of Tish’a Be’av when we were just ready to close and asked if he can have a cup of coffee. After talking with him I understood that he had a connection with the “Elite” company, and since this meeting  “Elite” has send us cheaper products, for the sake of the soldiers. Even we have connections!”
