Remembering

What does it mean to remember? When one remembers the wrongs of another, they are saying that they will never let it happen again. They choose to remember because the wrong committed to them was so bad that they want to make sure that no one will treat it lightheartedly. In addition it warns the next generation of the possibility of it occurring again. When one is prepared there is less chance for evil to reoccur.
One-way of remembering is to create a memorial. It is a symbol that shows the world the act that was committed. Another way to remember is to create a museum, or movie showing the whole world the horrific things that have occurred. When one ceases to remember, he is essentially allowing to let it evil happen again in the future.

Remembering is also recalling something dear to us, something we valued and cherished. Through memories we can preserve our loved ones and the valued way of life and culture which are no longer with us.
